Zillion Communications

Zillion Communications (Pty) Limited was primarily established with the view to explore and exploit business opportunities in various information communications technology (ICT) sectors within the Namibian economy and international markets.

It is thus a special purpose company that was created to concentrate on the establishment of a true Namibian corporate identity in the ICT arena. There is undoubtedly a total absence of indigenous companies in the Namibian mainstream ICT sector. Our objective is to create a flourishing company, whilst developing a pool of local talent from especially indigenous Namibians. Structured training and development programmes, technical skills transfer and understudy opportunities with our affiliated companies, are some of the concepts that we are currently developing into implementable projects and programmes.

We have presently contractual affiliation with strategic partner companies of international repute, by way of signed teaming agreements and memoranda of understanding, to co-operate in various areas in the ICT sector under local partnership arrangements. Some of our strategic partners include:

  • Shocked Mokoodi Consulting Enterprise (SMC Enterprise) (Pty) Limited, a South African based consulting firm that implements and develops information communications technology (ICT) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions.

SMC Enterprise is a fully black-owned company that has a proud track record since 1999. It represents a staff complement of 35 consultants with a wealth of experience in respect of numerous projects at large companies.

  • The Phaeros Group is another strategic partner company that specializes in the development, supply and implementation of port community systems. Phaeros was founded in 1999 and is located in Antwerp, Belgium. The company employs over 25 maritime and specialist IT consultants, with primary focus on the maritime and logistic markets, with specific emphasis on ports. The Phaeros Group, inter alia, provides harbour management systems with state-of-the-art applications, which are based on client server or web based technology.
  • GESP Srl is an Italian IT company of international repute that specializes in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and more generally in geo-spatial computer applications. It offers a broad range of IT services and solutions, including but not limited to the following:
    • The integration of geographic and spatial information in company information systems, at any scale and level of detail;
    • The design, structuring, population and management of graphic-multimedia and geo related databases with specific planning requirements;
    • The development of software solutions and services for the management of graphic and terrain data in the field of technical information systems.
